Good Morning All!
I had to say “Say What?!” When I recently read about Jojoba Oil.
OK you KNOW miss nosey box here had to investigate further *grin* I feel like a beauty investigative reporter with all of the research I’ve done lately. Anyway, So here’s the skinny…Excerpt From Intent.com
Jojoba oil is a pure and natural plant extract produced in the seed of the jojoba tree that is native to Southern Arizona, Southern California and Northern Mexico.
Though this botanical liquid extract is commonly referred to as “oil,” jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax ester that is very similar to the properties of human skin oil (sebum).
Translation: putting jojoba oil on your face, especially if you are prone to oily to combo skin, means that you can “trick” your human skin into producing less oil, thus reducing your face’s shiny appearance without extra layers of make-up that can further aggravate your sensitive skin.
WOW! So I did more digging and found more uses!
- As an after-shower body moisturizer.
- As a gentle makeup remover.
- As a lip balm.
- As a treatment for dried cuticles around your fingernails.
- As hair treatment. Apply jojoba oil to the ends of your hair cuticles.
- As a shaving prepper. Applying jojoba oil on your skin before shaving cream will prep your skin for a smoother shave and leave super-soft skin when you are done!
So here is your tip for the day! Jojoba oil is great for many uses! It can be found in super markets such as Whole Foods of Trader Joes.
Try it and see all that it can do for you! 🙂
