Today my family and I will be attending a birthday party for a 1-year-old little boy. Sure to be fun and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous! My only concern is the fare. Food fare that is, lots of lunch meats, wings, meatballs, chips etc… how can one go to these types of functions and still maintain a healthy diet?
Umm… I’ll get back to you as this morning I am still searching for answers. 🙂 For one, I am going to eat a healthy breakfast and just pick a bit this afternoon. I’ll drink the spring water instead of soda, I’ll only have a few chips, I’ll eat a meatball or two – sans roll.

Use an old nylon stocking – a knee-high or cut to knee-high length
Place about 1/3 cup rolled oats & 2 tbsp dried lavender and / or 5-7 drops lavender essential oil.
Mix ingredients in a bowl and place in your nylon stocking a.k.a your “bath tea bag” 🙂 tie a knot in the end to keep all the ingredients tucked inside.
Step into your bath water and relax. Drop the tea bag in the water to “steep” You can also rub the bag all over your skin (not your face) Feel the soothing softness sink in. Steep for about 15 to 20 minutes for maximum benefit.
