Tired Tuesday…

Hey All,

Woke up tired today so if this rambles I apologize ahead of time. I have sleep apnea and do have a cpap machine but some mornings I still wake up feeling like I have been run over by a truck. Alas, this had to happen on a day when I have so much to do. I have a laundry list of things to accomplish today and yes laundry is indeed on the list 🙂

Well I have had a few sips of coffee already and will do what I always do on these days. First take a nice shower with one of my fabulous soaps

Next, exfoliate with a great sugar scrub. It gets the circulation moving all over. I turn the water down and scrub face, neck and body, then rinse.

After my shower, I eat a healthy breakfast with extra protein. Like two organic eggs instead of one with a sprouted english muffin and coffee. Then I can get started on the day.

This is my routine for my sluggish days. It really does help to get you moving, stimulates circulation and the extra protein at breakfast really helps perk you up as well.

I recently formulated a great new coconut lime sugar scrub! It will be available in the next day or two. My coconut lime sugar scrub is very refreshing and the crisp lime essential oil blend is extra beneficial for those with acne as it acts as a minor gentle chemical peel without the chemicals! 🙂 of course it contains Kukuinut Oil for protection against photosensitivity while you scrub! So I think I’ll use that one today 🙂

Here is another great recipe to try whenever you’re feeling tired.

Seize the Day Café au Lait

This mocha almond low-fat treat offers a perfect pick-me-up!

  • 2/3 cup low-fat (2%) milk
  • 2 teaspoons chocolate-flavored syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2/3 cup hot, brewed French (or other dark roast) coffee
  • Grated chocolate, or freshly ground nutmeg, optional

In a small saucepan combine milk, chocolate syrup, and almond extract until blended. Bring to a gentle boil over medium-low heat. Pour the milk mixture and coffee simultaneously into a large coffee cup. Top with grated chocolate or freshly ground nutmeg, if desired. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
