Tried And Tried Again…

Hey All,

As many of you may already know, I and my field testers perform extensive product testing before launching any new product for THE Eco-Chic Boutique  line.

Recently, I have embarked on the natural “body butter” tests and trials. I am now finally satisfied enough to market it now.  I will be posting two new body butters in my Etsy shop today! Lovin’ Lime and In Love With Lavender! Yeah! x0x0x They are so smooth and silky and keep your skin smooth and supple all day!

I am always careful not to rush a product to market before it is tested thoroughly. I used to work in the corporate world and shake my head when a product was launched before it was thoroughly and completely tested.

When I left that world, I made a personal vow to not make that same mistake in my own business. I am happy so say that I have kept that vow faithfully and plan to never deviate from it. I also have a personal commitment to never test any product or use any element/ingredient that is tested on animals in any way. All of my products are happily Cruelty Free and Most are Vegan Friendly as well!

I am now an officially registered business of the and can display the seal proudly on all of my product packaging.

I am passionate about several causes and will soon launch my own web site in order to afford the flexibility to carry a wide variety of goods not just handmade.

Soon I will offer Fair Trade products to raise money for causes such as helping victims of the sex slave industry and local charities as well.

Which reminds me, I had better get back to work! *SMILE* In the meantime, Here is a tried and tried and true recipe for you to try at home. Enjoy!

Adapted from Rosemary Gladstar’s Herbs for Natural Beauty, by Rosemary Gladstar

  • 2 cups fine sea salt
  • 3 cups grapeseed or sweet almond oil
  • 20 drops essential oil (Lavender or Ylang-Ylang Are My Faves)

The How-To Of It All:

  • Place salt in a wide-mouth ball canning jar.
  • Pour oil over salt, stir until the oil is incorporated well into the salt.
  • Add your essential oil.

What Now?

Wet your entire body in the shower, turn  shower spray off. Take a small scoop of the salt scrub and massage the salt and oil mixture into your skin – use a circular motion while your massage.  Be careful to avoid any cuts or wounds.  Rinse in the shower and pat dry.

NOTE: This salt scrub is best used after you have washed your body with your natural soap. Afterall, you don’t want to wash off all that great hydrating oil 🙂

Store the remainder of your concoction in a cool dry place to enjoy a quick spa treatment another day 🙂 Recommended use – once of twice a month.

I hope you enjoy my recipe and stop by and try my body lovin’ butters too! x0x0x0

Have a Green Kinda Clean Day!

  1. That is so great you don’t test on animals and your products look wonderful! It looks like it smells amazing. I found you through the Etsypreneur team. =D
